Your registration fee includes the following:

• Congress dinner tickets
• Hotel accommodation
• Travel expenses
• Workshops

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations submitted in writing before 9 August 2026 will be subject to a 50% administration fee.
• Cancellations made from 9 August 2026 onwards will not qualify for a refund.
• In the event of non-arrival, full payment will remain due and payable.

By registering for or participating in the SASA Congress 2026, all attendees agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SASA 2026, its organisers, affiliates, sponsors, partners, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with their attendance or participation in the event.

This includes, without limitation, any loss or damage resulting from circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the organisers, including but not limited to acts of God, accidents, injury, illness, travel disruptions, natural disasters, or changes to the event programme or schedule.

All attendees participate at their own risk and are strongly encouraged to obtain appropriate insurance cover for travel, health, and personal property.

• If you are a SASA member, please ensure your membership number is included on your registration form. Membership verification will be completed by SASA.

• To qualify for Registrar rates, delegates must upload an official letter from their institution on a letterhead to verify their status or input their training number.

• On-demand online content registration is available for delegates who wish to access recorded Refresher Course sessions after the event. Access to the on-demand recording portal will be granted only to delegates who have registered and paid for the on-demand option. Only the Refresher Course (12–13 September) will be recorded. The Nurses' Refresher sessions will not be recorded.

• Delegates eligible for SADEC rates must upload either proof of membership in their local anaesthesiology/medical society or proof of residence if no society exists.
• If you are a CIG Member (Full member of the Societies of Anaesthesia of Great Britain and Ireland [AAGBI], Canada [CAS], America [USA], New Zealand [NZSA], or Australia [ASA]), please upload proof of your membership.

To qualify for the SADEC rates, you must be a citizen of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, or Zimbabwe.

On-Demand Access

• On-demand session recordings will be available from 16 September 2026 and will remain accessible for a period of three months, closing on 15 December 2026.
• CPD points will be allocated according to the times viewed, and CPD points will be submitted to HPCSA in mid-January 2027.

PPBU Repayment Agreement

As a PPBU member or a SASA member registrar, you are eligible to attend the workshop at no cost. To ensure that the limited capacity of this workshop is optimally utilised, we need to confirm that all those who have indicated a desire to attend are able to benefit from the opportunity. PPBU members and SASA member registrars who wish to take up this benefit are asked to complete and return the Repayment Agreement to confirm their attendance. All details will be sent to you once your registration has been completed.

Registration and Payment

• Registration fees do not include travel, accommodation or the congress dinner on Friday, 11 September 2026.
• All registration fees are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include applicable VAT, unless otherwise stated.
• Registration is only considered confirmed once full payment has been received.
• Payment should be made by 15 June 2026 to qualify for the early bird fee.
• All payments must be made prior to the event. 
• Payment must be made via the payment methods specified on the registration form.
• Proof of payment is to be emailed to: contact@velocityvision.co.za 
• Please ensure that all payments make clear reference to the delegate being paid for. Use SASA26 followed by your initial and your surname (eg: SASA26 J SMITH).
• Payments mistakenly made to an incorrect account or by third parties are the responsibility of the delegate to rectify.
• In the event of non-arrival, full payment will remain due and payable.

Workshop Attendance & Changes

• Workshop attendance is subject to availability and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
• The organisers reserve the right to limit attendance per workshop.
• In the event that a workshop selected by the delegate is cancelled or does not take place for any reason, the delegate shall be entitled to transfer to an alternative workshop of equal value, subject to availability, or a refund will be issued in respect of the cancelled workshop.
• Refunds will be processed within 14 (fourteen) working days from confirmation of cancellation.
• The organisers reserve the right to amend the workshop programme, including changes to content, speakers, or scheduling. Such changes shall not constitute grounds for a refund unless the workshop is cancelled in its entirety.

Cancellation

• All cancellations must be received in writing by the Congress Organisers and emailed to sasa@velocityvision.co.za

• The Organising Committee reserves the right to decline a request for a refund.

Governing Law

• These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
• Any disputes arising from registration or participation in the Congress will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.
